As I was reading this book, I read somewhere that these are Janette Oke's children's books. I was kind of surprised at that. I had a difficult time believing this story; however, I still found pieces of common sense and faith which help me with my thoughts. I liked the characters, and figured that in those days one didn't just pick up and move without a lot of trouble. Maybe I had trouble with it since I've moved so many times in my life (military, job changes, etc,) and because we are such a mobile society in general. I enjoyed the book, just not as much as Janette's other books. (I feel I have to mention again that the author comes across as a friend now that I've read so many of her books, so I am comfortable referring to her as Janette. Thank you Janette!)

I learned a lot from "Julia's Last Hope". It drew me into the story very well. I felt I was watching a movie.
This series is very enjoyable. I have recently returned to Jeanette Oke as an author, and her stories have great continuity, depth, and entertainment value. I'm glad I returned to her as a favorite author.
I can never praise her books enough S he is responsible for my return to Jesus and the Lord.God is my savior
Love the book. Such a sweet story filled with love and faith. Strive to have such faith. Look forward yo THE next book
Although, I was disappointed at how the first e-book # 1 ended, and it did end well, just ended too soon. It was still a very good read and so was this book. Even though there was some sadness in the last chapter of each of them, they both ended on a good note. I look forward to reading all her Christian e-books. She's a very good Christian writer.
Janette Oke's has a lovely style of writing. Each of her books keep your interest throughout. They have a vein of inspiring faith intertwined with an unfolding adventure. You quickly become both intrigued and engrossed in her characters and their lives. The story unfolds beautifully and holds just enough element of suspense to keep you wondering what will happen next and what the conclusion will be.
It took quite a bit to get into this book. Not at all typical Jeanette oke style. I found it kind or boring and probably won’t ever read again. I bought it to complete the series and I’ve always loved Jeanette oke books. 3 stars because the writing is good but the plot was a bit boring. But I was glad to find out nobody was being conceited but wow took 2 years or was it three, to discover it? These spouses hardly spoke.
